I have recently read the book Jesus is ______ by Judah Smith. In this book, Judah helps us discover who Jesus really was and what that means to us. Judah has a great writing style that is full of humor, stories and complete transparency. I like his point of view and look forward to reading other books by this though-provoking young pastor! Book Reivew - 20,000 Days and Counting by Robert D. Smith

I read this amazing book in two sittings, it is that good! After Robert realized he had been living for 20,000 days, he set out to plan his next 20,000 days, while living each day as if it were his last. He challenges the reader to do the same and offers many practical steps you can take immediately in order to make it a simple process. This book is going to be a great resource in my library going forward as a book I frequently review in order to ensure I am living my life to its fullest potential! Book Review - Dreams and Visions by Tom Doyle

Dreams and Visions – Is Jesus Awakening the Muslim World? This is a true book about believers in the Muslim world who are having dreams and visions of Jesus. I realized two things by reading this book. First of all, I learned how brutal the Muslim faith can be and how hard it is to be a Jesus follower in Muslim countries. Second, I learned (again) how much Jesus loves us and how He calls each of us into a relationship with him. This book has caused me to pray more for the Muslim world than I ever have. Grace!

Grace by Max Lucado is an amazing book that I finished in a couple of readings. Nothing you do can make God love you more, nothing you can do can make God love you less. In his typical style, Max mixes humor, stories and scripture to help us better understand the grace of God. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about this crucial subject. A great resource for dad's!

All Pro Dad by Mark Merrill is the best book on being a father I have ever read.  It is written in simple, concise language that covers the 7 M's of being an all pro dad: Know Your Makeup, Know Your Mindset, Know Your Motive, Know Your Method, Know Your Model, Know Your Message, Know Your Master. I would highly recommend this book to any father who truly desires to be the best dad they can be. Book Review - Running For My Life

I recently finished reading the book "Running For My Life" by Lopez Lomong.  This was one of the best books I have ever read.  It is a great story about a "lost boy" of Sudan who was kidnapped at the age of 6 to become a child soldier.  The book journeys with Lopez as he escapes his captors and lives at a UN camp for 10 years before coming to the United States as a 16 year old in 2001. 

Lopez never lost faith in God and kept on pursuing his dreams.  In 2008 he was the US flag bearer at the Olympics!  This is a must read book for anyone who wants to see the good work God still does in our lives today if we are faithful to him.

Book Review - I am a Follower

I have been trying to read I Am A Follower - The Way, The Truth, And Life of Follow Jesus, for some time now.  Unfortunately, this is not a book that I can get into.  I have read a lot of leadership books in my lifetime, but never a follower book.  I agree with the idea that it is about following Jesus and not just leading our own way.  I have heard that other books by Leonard Sweet are better to read than this one.
